Meetings 2010
EUROSAF meeting dates in 2010 are as follows:
Mid Year 6th - 9th May, Lake Balaton, Hungary
Annual Meeting, 4th - 15th November, Athens
EUROSAF OGA Paris, 17th April 2010
Despite the chaotic travel conditions across Europe, 22 member countries were represented at the 13th Ordinary General Assembly of the European Sailing Federation in Paris on 17th April. The remaining 16 countries who had been planning to attend were forced to tender their apologies for absence.
Because of the unique situation arising from the volcano eruption in Iceland, the meeting unanimously agreed to open the meeting, consider essential items of business to ensure the continued smooth running of EUROSAF and then suspend the balance of the agenda, including the Special General Assembly and the elections, until a later date. The meeting, therefore remains open until reconvened.
Those present agreed the Executive should set the date for the meeting to be reconvened when they meet on 29th May in the Netherlands. The most likely date will be Thursday 11th November in Athens, during the ISAF annual meeting, when many of the delegates will be present.
Draft minutes of the adjourned meeting were published to members on 15th May 2010. Members have 45 days to query or raise propose amendments to these minutes (22nd June 2010) after which they will be taken as being approved. Constitution Article 8 g).
