Terms of Reference

Reporting to EUROSAF Executive Board.

Goals

  1. Help National Judges, Umpires, and Race Officers from European MNAs become International Race Officials and develop a successful international career.

  2. Give European international event organizers access to highly skilled International Race Officials.

Objectives

  1. Manage the European Race Officials’ Exchange Programme.

  2. Organise an annual meeting of member MNAs at which the event exchange activities are agreed.

  3. Encourage greater participation in the Programme by member MNAs, their National Race Officials, and their international event organizers.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement an international training programme for European Race Officials.

  2. Liaise with MNAs hosting events suitable for exchange activities and ensure they have the necessary materials and personnel to deliver training sessions.

  3. Identify the current challenges Race Officials are facing within Europe and bring forth suitable solutions.

  4. Support European MNAs with new educational material for National Race Officials programmes.

  5. Assist in the education of European based National Race Officials.

  6. Liaise with the Executive Board member responsible for supporting the Committee.

  7. Work in close cooperation with the Treasurer to take advantage of funding opportunities.

  8. Inform the General Assembly at the Annual General Meeting about the Committee’s projects and achievements.

Committee Membership

Up to five members, including a Chair and a Vice-Chair, appointed by the Executive Board for their specialist knowledge, experience, or ability, appropriate to the goals and objectives of the Committee.

The following credentials will be welcome from members:

  • International or National Race Official with international experience/p>

  • Experience in designing and implementing training projects/p>

  • Proficiency in web-based training tools/p>

  • Pan-European vision/p>

Term: four years.
