April 22, 20213rd EUROSAF L30 Class European Championship
The fully crewed EUROSAF L30 European Championship will take place in 2021 for the third time. Participants will race on Lake Balaton, home to a large fleet of L30 boats, from 16 to 20 July, just before the world-famous “Kékszalag”, the Blue Ribbon Race, reaching its 53rd edition.
The L30 is a one-design boat suited to many disciplines: fleet racing, match racing, club racing, and of course offshore racing. It has been prominent on the Mixed Offshore discipline, being chosen by World Sailing for the 2020 World Championship in Malta (cancelled due to COVID-19) and the 2021 World Championship in Italy and the EUROSAF Mixed Offshore European Championships in 2019 in Venice, in 2020 in Genoa, and in 2021 in Italy.
“We have a wonderful working relationship with the L30 OD Class and are happy to support their development in many disciplines,“ says Josep M. Pla, EUROSAF president.
“I am glad to see that the L30 is actually being used in as many areas as is possible. The EUROSAF Events contribute to continuity especially in the present time.”, adds Rodion Luka, CEO of L30 One Design.
The fully crewed EUROSAF L30 European Championships have taken place in Gargano, Lake Garda, Italy, in 2019 and in Marseille, France, in 2020. The Organizing Authority of the 2021 Event is the Spartacus Sailing Club in conjunction with the Hungarian Sailing Federation and the L30 Class Association, in cooperation with the European Sailing Federation (EUROSAF).
Registration is open until 15 June 2021; the Notice of Race and further information are available at:
