The European Sailing Federation and BENETEAU expanded their cooperation regarding events: The EUROSAF BENETEAU First 27 SE & Seascape27 European Single-handed Championship will have a second edition in September 2022 in Denmark. Additionally, this year the First 18 SE Open European Championship is held under the EUROSAF umbrella.
The EUROSAF First 18 SE & Seascape18 Open European Championship 2022 has just begun. It is organized by Sailing Club Pirat in cooperation with EUROSAF, Slovenian First 18 SE Class Association, and First/Seascape shipyard. The onshore venue is Marina Portorož in Slovenia.
After last year’s great success, the EUROSAF BENETEAU First 27 SE & Seascape27 European Single-handed Championship 2022 will again be part of the Silverrudder regatta, which starts on 14 September in Svendborg, Denmark: 134 miles around the island of Fyn, organized in a way normally reserved for sailing festivals like Barcolana or Round the Island.
In 2021, EUROSAF and BENETEAU started the cooperation and announced the first ever Single-handed European Championship. “Our EUROSAF Mixed Offshore European Championship is also sailed on BENETEAU, on Figaro3 boats. I am happy that we are combining our common interests with BENETEAU on a European level and this is resulting in great events that not only bring added value for the single classes but also visibility for European sailing,” says Josep M. Pla, President of EUROSAF.
