Match Racing in the middle of Ekaterinburg

2021 EUROSAF Match Racing, Open European Championship in Russia started today

Starting today, the 2021 EUROSAF Match Racing, Open European Championship will take place for 4 days in the middle of Ekaterinburg in Russia. Despite some last-minute cancellations, 10 teams from 5 EUROSAF member nations are sailing for the title. JSC Gubernskiy yacht club Komatek impresses with good infrastructure and facilities for organizing sailing events at the highest level.

The racing will be on Ricochet-747 keelboats, equipped with mainsail, genoa, jib and spinnaker. The racing area is on Verkh-Isetskiy pond in the city of Ekaterinburg. Perfect for watching the races from land.

The final of the event will be on 21 August, when Ekaterinburg also celebrates the day of the City – Ekaterinburg turns 298 years old.
