EUROSAF webinars: continuation of event topic in September

Due to great interest, 2nd panel discussion “Successful Event Organization”

EUROSAF ran a webinar series in cooperation with World Sailing’s Development and Regions Committee from February until the end of May. The first sessions covered different aspects of promoting sailing. In part 5, the organizers of four major European sailing events reported on their visions, challenges, success factors, and innovations. The webinar was very well received, we have already written about it.

The last webinar before summer brought another highlight: It was held during the World Sailing „Steering the Course – Women’s Sailing Festival”. Five inspirational European women in sailing were invited to talk about their beginnings, their experience, and their love for the sport:

  • Alessandra Sensini (ITA): 4 time Olympic medalist in sailing

  • Maria Torrijo Moll (ESP): IRO, IJ, IU and Deputy PRO of Tokyo’20

  • Mona Küppers (GER): first woman president in the 130-year history of the German Sailing Federation

  • Emilia Tsoulfa (GRE): Olympic champion and member of the Greek Sailing Team at Tokyo’20

  • Jena Mai Hansen (DEN): Olympic champion and Olympic coach

This webinar was open to all interested participants. As not all were able to attend, the recording of the webinar is available online here.

Due to the great success, EUROSAF and World Sailing have decided to continue the event topic in September, with another panel discussion “Successful Event Organization”. Invitations have been sent to all EUROSAF Members.

The webinars offer a great opportunity to share ideas and information. They are led by EUROSAF first vice-president, Pınar Coşkuner Genç, and World Sailing training delivery manager, Rob Holden.
