EUROSAF 420 Circuit continues
January 26, 2021European Sailing Federation elects the Executive Board
April 16, 20212021 Pirat Junior European Championship under EUROSAF umbrella
The European Sailing Federation (EUROSAF) has been working closely with the international Pirat Class Associations for several years. Since 2017, the biannual Pirat European Championships have been held under the EUROSAF umbrella, which not only ensures international recognition, but is also a mark of quality for compliance with international standards.
Already in 2020, it was planned to organize the Junior Championships as a EUROSAF event. However, these plans fell victim to the COVID-19 pandemic and the event had to be cancelled. The time has now come for 2021: the EUROSAF Pirat Junior European Championship will take place from 17 to 24 July in Groß Sarau on Lake Ratzeburg, Germany. Pirat sailors born in 1996 or later are eligible to participate.
EUROSAF vice-president Timo Hass is pleased “that we can also support the Pirat Juniors with our expertise, our international standards and of course in setting up an international jury.”
„Together with EUROSAF, the Junior European Championship and thus also the winner receives enormous international recognition. Nevertheless, this year’s event planning is extremely challenging for us, and for the time being we had to limit the number of entries to 20. Should the situation improve we reserve our right to increase the number of participants.“, explains Philipp Dörges from the Lübecker Segler-Verein, hosting the International German Youth Championship at the same time.
Registration is open until 7 June 2021. The Notice of Race and further information are available at:
