October 18, 2022EUROSAF L30 European Championship 2022 starts today
14 teams from 8 nations have entered for this year’s L30 continental championship. It is the fourth edition under EUROSAF flag, the regatta is taking place at Yacht Club San Remo in Italy.
“We are really happy to have so many teams from so many different countries at the starting line. The weather looks very nice, the wind forecast shows light wind conditions for the next days”, Rodion Luka, designer and mastermind of L30 class said right before the first start. Not only the current title holder from Hungary, Attila Bakonyi and his “Tranquilo Sailing Team”, will try to defend the title, also the other two medal winners from last year, Péter Tenke/HUN and Klaus Wagner/GER, showing up in Italy.
The event is organized by Yacht Club Sanremo (YCS) in conjunction with the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) and Circolo Velico Capoverde, and the L30 Class Association in cooperation with the European Sailing Federation (EUROSAF). From today until Sunday afternoon a maximum of 9 races are scheduled. The prize giving ceremony will take place right after the last race.
