May 22, 2022Cecilia Zorzi and Giovanni Di Marco are Mixed Offshore European Champions 2022
The award ceremony in front of Galata Museo del Mare officially closed the fourth edition of the EUROSAF Mixed Offshore European Championship from La Maddalena to Genoa.
Organized by Sailing Series International in collaboration with the Lega Navale Italiana and EUROSAF, the event was won by the Mexedia Sailing Project: Cecilia Zorzi, who secured the second consecutive success in the Mixed Offshore category, this time together with team mate Giovanni Di Monaco, completed the regatta with the time of 1d 19h 47m 27s.
Only one and a half hours later, Ali dell’Aria crossed the finish line: the boat led by the D’Alì-Frascari duo reached the finish line after 1d 20h 53m 45s of navigation with a minimum margin on Elena and Carlos Manera who, engaged on board IREN, have misjudged the position of the finish line, finishing third by nearly nothing. Fourth place for POL/UKR, or Barbara Karpinska and Vladimir Kulinichenko, undoubtedly the combination that most of all went beyond the favors of the eve.
Once the EUROSAF Mixed Offshore European Championship 2022 is over, the organizer is now looking ahead to the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour, which will run from Genoa to Venice in mid-June.
