May 17, 2022EUROSAF 2.4mR European Championship in France starting
Saint-Pierre Quiberon in Northern France is hosting this year’s European Championship in the 2.4mR class, which is also the Parasailing European Championship. Almost 50 sailors are expected to attend this continental championship, representing 12 European countries.
Already since Wednesday the event venue is open for the competitors for training and measurement. After today’s practice race the opening ceremony will take place in the evening. The first warning signal is scheduled for Monday noon. All in all ten races are planned, the European Championship will end with the price giving ceremony on Friday 20 May in the evening. Among the participants are top candidates for the title, like Heiko Kröger (GER) and Damien Seguien (FRA), both Paralympic and World Championship winners.
For the first time, this class championship is held under the EUROSAF umbrella and thus continues and expands the cooperation between the 2.4mR class and EUROSAF as well as EUROSAF’s support of para and inclusive sailing.
